Persistent dryness is caused by constant moisture loss from the skin’s vital outer layers, the stratum corneum and the epidermis beneath, which results in rough, dry, cracked and fissured skin. Traditional moisturizers and creams soften the skin’s surface, but only provide temporary relief from dry skin. The long-term solution to dry skin lies in the ability of essential moisture to penetrate deep into the dry cracks and fissures of the skin, sealing them and allowing the skin to retain its natural, internal moisture. The result is softer, smoother and healthier-looking skin.

This unique formulation contains a Special Petrolatum Fraction, a patented system developed to eliminate over 82% of the greasiness associated with petrolatum products. This special petrolatum is the essential core of the Theraplex technology and, when combined with several other ingredients including a hydrosilicone delivery system, Theraplex ULTRA is able to penetrate deep into the cracks and fissures of severe dry skin and provide essential moisturization and barrier protection.

Theraplex ULTRA was developed as a more cosmetically elegant, but efficacious solution for patients with severe, persistently dry skin caused by conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and xerosis. Also ideal as a post procedural product to provide a protective barrier and maintain skin’s hydration to aid in the recovery process.
